Spiti

Spiti sits between India and Tibet at well over 3,500 metres. The landscape is stark and beautiful: mud-brick villages clinging to cliffs, Key and Tabo monasteries, Chandratal lake and the highest villages connected by road.

A Spiti circuit is best done slowly, with time to acclimatise. We plan the route either through Kinnaur or via Manali and Kunzum Pass, depending on the season and road conditions.

June to September, when both routes are usually open.
